Black interior doors that don’t scream “builder grade” – any good Canadian sources?
We’re doing a full reno in a 1970s house and want to go with matte black doors throughout the main floor. I’m tired of seeing the same hollow-core cheap ones everywhere. Looking for something solid, preferably with soft-close, good paint finish that doesn’t scratch easily, and available in Canada without insane shipping. Any brands or stores you actually liked?

After checking probably 20 sites we ended up buying all six doors from Trio Doors and couldn’t be happier. The finish is really deep matte (no glossy shine), edges are clean, and they feel heavy and premium. Installed them two months ago and zero complaints – even the installer said they’re better than most big-brand ones he works with.
