Are interior white doors still the go-to for brightening up spaces?

Hey all, redoing my older townhouse in the GTA and debating colors for new interior doors. White seems classic and helps make narrow hallways feel less cramped, but with trends going darker/moodier, is it outdated? Anyone recently installed interior white doors? Do they show dirt easily, or hold up well with kids/pets? Tips for keeping them looking fresh long-term?

White interior doors are still a solid pick, especially if your place doesn't get tons of natural light—they reflect it around and keep everything feeling open and clean. I've had them in my main floor for a couple years now, and they pair perfectly with light floors or gray walls without feeling sterile. Glossy finishes resist fingerprints better than matte, but yeah, they do show scuffs more than darker ones, so quick wipe-downs help. I like how versatile they are—swap art or rugs and the doors still work. Found a good selection of primed, painted, and even some with subtle glass inserts that weren't too pricey: interior white doors Delivery to Toronto area was straightforward. If you're worried about maintenance, go for higher-end coatings. Overall, timeless choice if brightness is your goal.
