Is it possible to control an older Samsung tv without a remote? My grandmother has a Samsung TV that's probably at least 10 years old, and she's lost the remote...again. She's not tech-savvy at all, so getting her a fancy universal remote or setting up an app is out of the question. Is there even a power button on those older models, or is there some kind of secret trick to turn it on and change channels without a remote?

That's a good question. On those older TVs, it really depends on the model and the kind of features it has. A lot of the older Samsung TVs did include buttons on the unit itself, so you might be in luck. However, they tend to hide those buttons well, like at the lower edge along the screen or on the back. Some apps may work, but you'll still need a way to turn the TV on to connect. As an alternative, you could try this guide, it shows you where to Turn On Samsung TV Without Remote and even recommends some phone apps.
